Summary
Doug serves as co-chair of Taft's Employment and Labor Relations practice group. He assists clients in the private and public sectors with a broad range of traditional labor and employment matters and serves in an outside general counsel role for many of his clients, guiding them on general business matters. On a regular basis, Doug counsels clients with respect to all aspects of the National Labor Relations Act, Ohio Public Employees' Collective Bargaining Act, the Railway Labor Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and other federal and state statutes. Along with Taft’s other labor lawyers, he provides clients with comprehensive labor relations guidance regarding elections, grievances, arbitrations, collective bargaining, and unfair labor practice charges.
Doug received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from The College of William and Mary. Active in the local community, Doug serves on the Boards of Directors for the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau of Dayton/Miami Valley.
