Doug concentrates his practice in the area of labor and employment law. He has assisted clients in the private and public sectors with a broad range of matters, including issues arising out of the American With Disabilities Act, the Family Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and other federal and state statutes. In addition, Doug represents employers in litigation matters arising out of the National Labor Relations Act and the Railway Labor Act. He provides clients with instruction on employee management including collective bargaining, training management and coaching supervisory employees in union avoidance, and defending against unfair labor practice charges when necessary.
Doug received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame and his law degree from The College of William and Mary. He is honored by Ohio Supers Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2005 - 2007, 2009 – 2012. Active in the local community, Doug serves as the vice-chair of the board of governors for Leadership Dayton, the premier leadership development program designed to identify, educate and motivate a network of community leaders and increase their capacity to serve the Dayton region.
