Leveraging deep insights and a multidisciplinary approach, Taft’s real estate attorneys provide comprehensive legal services involving the acquisition and disposition of real property across the country.
Whether efficiently facilitating a single-asset transaction or skillfully managing complex deals that impact a diverse portfolio of properties, our attorneys have the knowledge and vision to represent individual and institutional buyers, sellers, investors, and other constituencies at every stage in a transaction’s lifecycle.
Our attorneys take pride in the strong bonds we develop with our real estate clients, as well as the collaborative relationships we establish with other parties that contribute to a successful transaction, including lenders, brokers, appraisers, title insurers, and consultants. Our clients include national and regional developers, owners, corporations, financial institutions, and REITs, each of which relies on Taft to efficiently complete their transactions in line with their strategic goals and objectives.
Complex acquisitions and dispositions involve multiple legal disciplines, from tax to land use to environmental law. We draw upon our attorneys extensive experience across practices to provide comprehensive representation for all types of real property transactions, combining insights with our nationwide resources and reach.
Taft attorneys have counseled clients and provided representation in structuring deals, conducting due diligence, negotiating and documenting agreements, and managing transactions from start to finish. We apply our legal knowledge and understanding of the real estate market to conduct thorough reviews of title, land use, and zoning issues, careful analysis of leasing and other contractual obligations, and comprehensive investigations into environmental concerns.
