Katie M. Bluestone

Katie is senior counsel in Taft’s Chicago Real Estate practice group focusing on complex commercial leasing arrangements and strategic acquisitions and dispositions throughout the United States. She advises clients through all stages of real estate transactions, including contract negotiation, financing documentation and capital stack structuring, due diligence coordination and oversight, regulatory compliance, and closing.

Katie’s clients range from private equity firms and institutional investors to family offices managing substantial real estate portfolios, high-net-worth individuals and family enterprises, entrepreneurs and emerging developers, commercial property owners and purchasers, and investment funds specializing in alternative asset classes. Her experience includes transactions involving student housing complexes and campus-adjacent developments, mixed-use urban redevelopment projects, multi-family residential communities, industrial facilities, veterinary clinics, early childhood education centers and daycare facilities, and medical office buildings. Katie strives to deliver value-driven results that align with her clients’ business objectives and long-term strategic goals.

Katie received her J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and bachelor’s degrees in Legal Studies and French from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
