Summary

Joe is a partner in Taft’s Real Estate practice group. He routinely counsels developers, owners, sponsors, investors, landlords, tenants, and lenders in all aspects of complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and dispositions, property management, leasing, development services, joint venture formations, and various financing arrangements.

In addition to his real estate practice, Joe also frequently advises clients on general corporate and business law, including entity selection and formation, the drafting and negotiation of governing organizational documents, and overall capital structure considerations. Joe has specialized knowledge in documenting and negotiating joint venture agreements, both in favor of sponsors and investors, and with respect to both common equity and preferred equity arrangements.

Joe is also a certified public accountant. Prior to joining Taft, he was a partner at a national law firm, where he practiced real estate law.
