Summary

Ryan is an attorney in Taft’s Commercial Litigation practice, concentrating on construction law, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and contract disputes. He brings deep experience focused on assisting contractors, subcontractors, owners, design professionals, sureties, and others through the maze of complex construction-related laws, rules, and regulations; representing them from concept, to contract, to judgment.

Ryan’s work includes handling matters at all phases of construction, from bidding and negotiating contracts through construction and post-construction. He has successfully guided his clients through project challenges and prosecuted and defended claims involving construction liens and bonds, project delay claims, payment disputes, licensing issues, administrative matters, and construction defect claims. His strategic approach combines rigorous legal analysis with practical business insight, helping clients navigate the complexities of the construction industry.

Before joining Mrachek Law, which merged with Taft in June 2025, Ryan gained trial experience managing high-stakes commercial construction, real estate, and business litigation matters. He also served as in-house counsel for an international development company valued at over $1.5 billion.
