Auspitz and Weiss Certified by the Florida Bar in Construction Law
Effective Aug. 1, 2026, Taft attorneys Zachary Auspitz and Ryan Weiss became Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law.
Board certification is the highest recognition of competency and experience awarded by The Florida Bar. Applicants must meet stringent requirements demonstrating substantial experience and expertise in their practice area, undergo an extensive peer review process, and pass a rigorous examination. Fewer than 5% of Florida Bar members achieve board certification.
This accomplishment further strengthens Taft’s nationally recognized Construction practice and expands the firm’s roster of Florida Bar board-certified attorneys, reinforcing its commitment to delivering exceptional counsel to clients on complex construction matters.
Auspitz concentrates his practice on construction law and litigation, representing owners, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and sureties in complex disputes. His experience includes construction defects, lien and bond claims, contract and warranty disputes, delay and disruption, and other statutory, and tort-based claims arising from construction projects. He handles matters from pre-suit through trial and regularly practices in both state and federal courts, as well as arbitration. He also advises clients on contract negotiation and risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
Weiss’ practice is concentrated on construction law, including liens, bonds, construction defect claims, risk analysis and contract negotiations. He also handles real estate litigation, commercial litigation, and other contractual disputes. He has extensive experience assisting contractors, subcontractors, owners, design professionals, sureties, and others through the maze of complex construction-related laws, rules, and regulations; representing them from concept, to contract, to judgment.
