Summary
Erica concentrates her practice in all aspects of labor and employment law, with a particular emphasis on prevention and defense of employment litigation. She has represented governmental and private clients in workplace discrimination litigation, policy formulation, and employment-related investigations. Using her experience and knowledge gained from previously working as an in-house attorney, Erica routinely counsels clients on issues regarding day-to-day personnel issues, employment-related agreements and restrictive covenants, wage and hour matters, employee compensation, medical leave and accommodations, best practices in hiring, and employee handbooks and policies.
Erica also represents governmental and private clients in federal and state courts and administrative agencies in various employment litigation matters including wrongful discharge, discrimination claims, Americans with Disabilities Act and Family and Medical Leave Act claims, wage and hour claims, employment agreements, workers’ compensation, and unemployment hearings. Finally, Erica has significant experience representing colleges and universities in employment litigation matters including Title IX, discrimination, harassment, breach of contract, and tenure.
Erica is recognized as one of the “Ones to Watch” by Best Lawyers in America® for litigation - labor and employment.
