Summary
Christy is an attorney in Taft’s Cincinnati Environmental group and brings more than two decades of proven experience to her practice. She advises clients on a variety of sophisticated environmental and regulatory matters, including litigation and enforcement; sustainability and greenwashing evaluations; social responsibility initiatives; environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations, and environmental compliance. Clients and colleagues rely on Christy to deliver practical, business-minded solutions and cultivate trusted relationships at all levels of an organization.
Christy draws on her unique background to advocate for clients. Before joining Taft, she held in-house counsel leadership roles at Cintas Corporation, most recently serving as Vice President of Environmental, Social, and Governance. Throughout her tenure at Cintas, she routinely advised senior leadership on risk avoidance, solved problems creatively, and managed business needs while maintaining compliance within evolving regulatory frameworks.
In her prior role as Deputy General Counsel, Litigation, Christy oversaw risk and litigation management. Today, she applies this experience to her environmental practice. Christy is adept at designing strategies for risk and litigation management that reduce costs and exposure while increasing compliance across an enterprise. She partners with clients to implement proactive protocols that mitigate future product liability, workplace injury, and casualty litigation. When litigation is unavoidable, she defends clients in all phases of the matter.
Prior to Cintas, Christy was a litigation partner at a regional law firm. She represented clients in federal and state courts across the country and was named a Rising Star among business litigation attorneys by Ohio Super Lawyers.
Active in the local community, Christy serves on the Board of Directors of Green Umbrella, a regional climate collaborative.
