For major research university clients, this service has involved laws and regulations, including HIPAA, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and those controlling federal research grants and clinical trials (including human subject research and research misconduct). We provide regulatory compliance assistance applicable to all colleges and universities, including the Drug-Free Workplace Act, Acceptable Use of Computing and Information Technology Act and Campus Security Act.
Together with Taft’s Intellectual Property group, we advise higher education clients on all forms of intellectual property and technology transfer. These services include licensing, start-ups and compliance with the Bayh-Dole Act.
