Nadine E. McSpadden

Nadine is an experienced appellate advocate, litigator, and advisor. She has been the lead attorney on many appeals in the Indiana Court of Appeals and Supreme Court, and has also practiced in multiple federal Circuit Courts of Appeals. She has unique insight and advice to offer clients, having served as the Senior Judicial Clerk for the Hon. John G. Baker for the Indiana Court of Appeals for over a decade prior to joining Taft. Her clients and colleagues depend on her exceptional legal writing and advocacy skills, which are invaluable in every facet of the attorney-client relationship and across the spectrum of legal representation.

Nadine is an experienced attorney with a demonstrated history of working in private practice, public service in the government sector, and the judiciary. She also worked as the deputy charging prosecutor for the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office and was a staff attorney for the Department of Child Services in Indianapolis. Nadine serves on the board of directors of Indiana Youth Group, which serves and empowers LGBTQ+ youth, and the Julian Center, which is Indiana’s largest domestic violence shelter, and has done pro bono work for Indiana Legal Services, Child Advocates, Indiana Youth Group, GenderNexus, and Heartland Alliance.

She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Tufts University.
