Lauren A. Kemp

Lauren is an associate in the Employment and Labor Relations practice group, with a focus on employment counseling and litigation, as well as workers’ compensation. She has significant experience with ADA and Title VII compliance and all phases of litigation. Lauren provides personnel, risk management, and compliance guidance; develops employee handbooks and policies; conducts internal investigations; represents employers in litigation matters; and counsels on charges of discrimination filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission.

As part of her workers’ compensation practice, Lauren represents self-insured and state-funded employers during all stages of their matters, including claims investigation and management, administrative hearings, litigation, appeals on mandamus before the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of Ohio, and settlement. She has successfully defended cases at trial and in mandamus actions. Lauren also represents employers in occupational safety and health matters, including defending enforcement actions by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
