Summary
Annie is a labor and employment attorney in Taft’s Denver office. She assists companies in developing and implementing workplace safety and health policies and programs, with a particular focus on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) compliant policies. In addition to her Workplace Safety and Health practice, Annie advises companies regarding Colorado employment policies and procedures and employment handbooks.
Annie collaborates with her clients on strategies to secure favorable outcomes in all aspects of labor and employment litigation, including defending claims of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, WARN Act notice, and wage and hour violations. In and out of the courtroom, Annie draws on the discipline, organization, and leadership skills she developed as a criminal litigator in the Air Force to enhance her labor and employment practice and advocacy for her clients. Annie combines her extensive trial experience and oral and written advocacy skills to represent clients in federal and state employment-related claims.
Annie earned her J.D. from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, Bloomington, and bachelor’s degrees in legal studies and English from the University of California, Berkeley. While in law school, Annie represented clients impacted by domestic violence for the Indiana University Protective Order Project and competed in and judged the Sherman Minton Moot Court Competition.
