Timothy S. Lauxman

Tim is a strategic problem-solver who helps businesses navigate complex legal issues. He breaks down intricate contractual, statutory, and regulatory requirements, working closely with his clients to resolve disputes that support their broader business goals.

Focusing his practice on complex commercial and employment litigation, Tim regularly advises clients on high-stakes contractual matters, including disputes involving lending agreements, property transactions, and insurance and indemnification issues. On the employment side, he has handled a wide range of individual and class action matters, from non-compete and confidentiality disputes to arbitration agreements, discrimination, harassment, and wage-and-hour claims.

With experience litigating in jurisdictions across the country, Tim is well-versed in navigating both trial and appellate courts, as well as arbitral and administrative proceedings. He understands that his clients don’t operate in a vacuum; they’re governed by both the contracts they sign and the regulations of their industries.

Tim received his J.D. from Arizona State University (ASU) Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, where he served as a Senior Article Editor for the ASU Sports and Entertainment Law Journal. After law school, Tim clerked at the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Tim has assisted with matters including:

• Resolution of a multi-party commercial lending and swap agreement dispute involving multiple claims and complex state and Securities and Exchange Commission regulatory schemes.
• Pursuit of debts stemming from a complex, multi-year real estate transaction, requiring interpretation of multiple agreements and years of negotiations.
• Multiple commercial disputes involving claims of breach of contract, fraud, and fraudulent transfers (dissipation of assets).
• Multiple employment disputes involving enforcement of non-compete, confidentiality, and arbitration agreements, and discrimination, harassment, and wage-and-hour claims, including claims under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA).
• Advice regarding employment policies and contracts under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and multiple states’ non-compete, confidentiality, and wage-and-hour, including minimum wage, laws.
• Advice regarding insurance coverage under interplaying unique and complex statutory and contractual arrangements.
