Summary
Nick helps businesses navigate the complex world of importation and tariffs with clarity. He represents clients in investigations and reviews before the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. International Trade Commission, as well as in matters before the U.S. Court of International Trade, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Binational Panel Reviews under the United States Mexico Canada Agreement (USMCA).
Nick’s practice specializes in international trade matters, including:
- Antidumping and countervailing duty issues such as dumping margin and subsidy rate calculations, scope inquiries, circumvention, and injury investigations.
- Customs matters related to importation, liquidation, classification, valuation, country of origin, tariff assessments (AD/CVD, Section 232, Section 301, and IEEPA), alleged duty evasion, forced labor, and audit.
Before joining the firm, Nick served as a law fellow in the Office of General Counsel at the United States Trade Representative (USTR), where he assisted in representing the United States in dispute settlement proceedings before the World Trade Organization (WTO) and supported international trade agreement negotiations and implementation. He also gained valuable judicial experience in chambers at the U.S. Court of International Trade (CIT) where he assisted a judge with research, record review, and opinion drafting.
Nick is passionate about helping companies bring their products into the United States efficiently and compliantly. He understands that the importation process can be daunting, and he takes pride in simplifying it for clients—offering practical solutions and steadfast advocacy every step of the way.
