Summary
Max is a business associate in Taft’s Detroit office and maintains a general corporate practice with a focus on buy and sell side mergers and acquisitions. He is well-versed in transactional matters and regularly supports private equity firms, family offices, independent sponsors, strategic buyers, and individuals from the planning stage to the closing of M&A transactions. Max also counsels business clients of all sizes regarding general corporate matters, contracting, governance, entity formation, business planning, financing, divestitures, and with respect to other matters that arise in the course of business operations. The clients Max represents appreciate his responsiveness, attention to detail, and efficiency in handling complex matters.
Prior to joining the firm Max earned his J.D. at Wayne State University Law School and his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, where he was a four-year letter winner with the varsity hockey team. While in law school, Max was an Associate Editor for the Wayne Law Review and spent a summer serving as a law clerk for the United States House of Representative Ways and Means Committee in Washington, D.C.
