Laura B. Friedman

As Chief Attorney Development Officer at Taft, Laura oversees a comprehensive professional development organization for the firm’s attorneys, which includes attorney training, continuing education, mentoring, evaluations, and partner development initiatives. Laura works closely with firm leadership and operational teams to strategically support attorney development in alignment with the firm’s strategic goals.

Before joining Taft, Laura served as the Director of Professional Development and Career Counseling at Case Western Reserve University School of Law where she curated professional development programming for law students and counseled students on all aspects of their job search and career goals. Before this, she was in-house counsel for a global retailer and an attorney for a prominent national law firm.

Laura earned her J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, from Aquinas College.
