As a Director of Associate Advancement, Laura serves in a multi-faceted role to strategically match the firm’s associates to client matter opportunities and to guide and monitor their progress. She helps to achieve an equitable distribution of associate work assignments consistent with various client needs, each associate’s goals, and with the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiative goals. Laura also oversees an overarching goal to monitor client, partner, and matter expectations, while tracking associate workloads that align to each associate’s strengths and personal career goals.
Laura assists in developing professional programming to support and enhance associate career development that will continue to inspire and retain associates. To accomplish objectives, she collaborates across Taft’s operational teams to ensure alignment of the firm's strategies.
Prior to joining Taft, Laura served as the Director of Professional Development and Career Counseling at a major law school in Greater Cleveland. She helped to provide personal issue counseling and facilitated informal networking opportunities and student-alumni mentoring programs.
Laura earned her J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University in 2013 and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Aquinas College in 2008.
