
Summary
Katie is an associate in Taft’s Cincinnati office with a focus on construction litigation. She has experience helping companies and individuals navigate high-stakes regulatory, reputational, and litigation risk—drafting complex contracts, compliance materials, summary-judgment motions, and mediation agreements.
Prior to joining Taft, Katie was an associate based in Washington, D.C., where she worked on matters related to commercial litigation and white-collar criminal defense. She has held a variety of clerkships and internships at the state and federal level, through which she has developed a robust practice with experience in a wide range of issues. After interning for the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General’s Corps., Katie was a legal intern in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Human Rights and Special Prosecutions, followed by an internship in the U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the Major Crimes Division and a clerkship in the U.S. Senate.
Katie earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in global social change from Hanover College. During law school, Katie served as the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Law and Technology and as a student attorney for the Columbus Community Legal Services Families and the Law Clinic.
Katie is admitted in Indiana and the District of Columbia. She is certified to practice pending admission in Ohio.
