Summary

Jon is a member of Taft’s Specialty Tax team and a CPA with more than 25 years of experience advising Fortune 100 and other large organizations on R&D tax credits and incentives, Section 174 capitalization and amortization, and U.S. international tax matters. He partners closely with global organizations and multidisciplinary teams to deliver compliant, defensible strategies that help minimize tax obligations.

Before joining Taft as a CPA and specialty tax advisor, Jon Reemtsma spent many years in tax consulting and advisory roles, including work focused on research and development (R&D) tax credits and other specialized tax services, which helped him build deep expertise advising clients on complex incentive and credit issues.

Jon earned a degree in Accounting & Business Admin from Clearwater Christian College. In addition, he is a CPA, licensed by the Minnesota State Board of Accountancy.
