John concentrates his practice on transactional real estate matters. He has represented both companies and individuals in the acquisition and disposition of commercial and residential real estate and has drafted and negotiated commercial leases for landlords and tenants. Prior to joining Taft, John was a transactional associate at Boodell & Domanskis, LLC in Chicago.
John received his B.A. from Northwestern University and his J.D. from the Northwestern University School of Law. During law school, John served as a note and comment editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology and Intellectual Property and as an executive officer of the Intellectual Property Law Society. He also worked as a research assistant for Professor Lee Epstein and as a law clerk for a mid-size Chicago law firm. Prior to attending law school, John was vice president of operations for a small fine art company.
