Summary

Jessica helps clients navigate complex commercial litigation, risk management, and regulatory compliance. She litigates a wide range of matters across industries, with a particular focus on commercial real estate and higher education. Jessica has first- and second-chaired litigation in jurisdictions nationwide and consistently aligns legal strategy with her clients’ business goals when taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and managing sensitive negotiations. Her experience spans mediation, arbitration, and courtroom advocacy in state, federal, and bankruptcy courts nationwide, as well as defending clients in government enforcement actions and regulatory investigations.

Jessica’s practice covers contract and construction disputes, employment law, lender liability, and creditors’ rights. She also advises and defends higher education institutions in cases involving tenure denials, wrongful termination, academic freedom, and faculty or student affairs. Her employment law work includes discrimination claims, non-compete disputes, and contract matters in both academic and corporate settings. She represents creditors in bankruptcies, loan workouts, and foreclosures, and frequently troubleshoots complex loan servicing issues.

Her clients value her ability to translate legal complexity into practical guidance across a variety of sectors, and to lead with clarity in high-stakes matters that demand precision, discretion, and a deep understanding of institutional dynamics.

She earned her J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, where she was an active member of the Women’s Law Association and the Vice President of Association of Transfer Students. She earned her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Western Michigan University.
