Summary

Jada is an associate in Taft’s Litigation practice group and represents clients in a range of complex matters, including commercial and contract disputes and construction litigation. Her construction practice encompasses representation of general contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, and owners in both public and private construction projects. Jada routinely advises clients on disputes involving breach of contract, construction defects, delay and disruption claims, payment disputes, and lien enforcement and defense.

She has significant experience litigating claims arising under mechanic’s lien statutes, time-and-materials and lump sum agreements, indemnity provisions, and warranty obligations. Jada also represents clients in cases involving construction negligence, code violations, and disputes over scope changes and project mismanagement. Her work includes both pre-litigation counseling and full-scale litigation in state and federal courts, as well as arbitrations.

Jada has a track record of successfully navigating complex legal landscapes, offering tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of clients. Her expertise includes strategic negotiation, adept courtroom representation, drafting of persuasive court filings, and skillfully handling appeals. She frequently prepares and argues dispositive motions, handles expert discovery in technical construction matters, and leads efforts to resolve disputes through mediation. Jada provides comprehensive support to clients seeking resolution in intricate legal matters, with a practical, detail-oriented approach that advances their business and legal goals.

Active in the legal profession and local community, Jada serves as vice president of the Black Lawyers Association of Cincinnati, a member of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden’s Ambassador’s Council, and received the 2024 PLEDGE award from Cincinnati Chapter of the Federal Bar Association for demonstrating exceptional legal talent.
