Summary
Evan represents employers in all facets of the employment relationship, with a particular emphasis on traditional labor law and high-stakes workplace disputes. He routinely advises and advocates for management in collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration matters, union organizing campaigns and election proceedings, union-avoidance strategy, unfair labor practice charges, arbitration, and strike-related issues.
In addition to his labor practice, Evan represents employers in a broad range of employment matters, including administrative proceedings before state and federal equal employment opportunity agencies and complex employment discrimination litigation in state and federal courts. He also counsels employers on protecting their business interests through the enforcement of restrictive covenants and related litigation against former employees.
Evan provides strategic day-to-day guidance and proactive counseling to help employers navigate challenging workplace issues and manage operations, including workforce restructurings, plant shutdowns, and compliance with the WARN Act. He also represents employers in workplace safety matters, including advising on OSHA compliance, responding to inspections, and litigating OSHA citations before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission.
