Teddy is a veteran attorney with over two decades of experience as an attorney and general counsel, representing clients in a broad range of interests, including government-related matters, public policy, and government relations.
His substantive knowledge of legislative process and policy brings a practitioner’s expertise to his client’s needs. Teddy is an intuitive and authentic listener who seeks to understand the intricacies of complex issues a client may be facing and address them deliberately and determinedly. His genuine nature and extensive expertise allow him to build long-term relationships based on trust and results.
Teddy has held multiple senior staff positions in the U.S. government, including work on the House Judiciary Committee, U.S. House of Representatives. He served as an Investigative Attorney with the House Oversight Committee, as legal counsel, and as an associate independent counsel. In 1998, he was selected and appointed to serve on impeachment proceedings. Teddy was then appointed to serve as the Deputy Chief of Staff with a congressman from Arizona.
His career continued to develop across various industries, including trade, sanctions, health care, financial services, energy and environmental, appropriations, defense, and homeland security. Teddy has served with a distinguished group of firms and practices, holding roles such as a partner, shareholder, vice president, and principal. He has also been a registered lobbyist, advocating for a diverse list of organizations and groups.
Teddy earned his juris doctor and LL.M. from Pace University School of Law and his bachelor of arts from Denison University. He is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey only.
Teddy’s passions include advocating for and supporting numerous charities focused on children’s needs. He and his wife founded Mamie’s Mile, a non-profit organization named in honor of their daughter. He supports the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS), serving on the board of directors. Teddy also serves on the board of ChildHelp and is a member of the Foster Care Program, both in Washington, D.C.
