
Cassandra Goldberg
Summary
Cassandra is a CPA and specialty tax advisor at Taft, where she works with a diverse range of clients across multiple industries on research and development (R&D) tax credit matters. She partners closely with clients to identify and quantify qualifying and non-qualifying activities and expenditures related to new product and process development. Cassandra helps clients understand and maximize their R&D credit opportunities while ensuring thorough documentation to support claimed credits. She also has experience advising on compliance with the new Section 174 capitalization and amortization requirements.
Before joining Taft as a CPA and specialty tax advisor, Cassandra worked as an R&D Tax Credit Manager for nearly a decade. Cassandra built deep expertise in R&D tax credits by working hands-on with clients to identify, analyze, and document qualifying activities and expenditures, ultimately leading and managing R&D engagements.
Cassandra earned a degree in Accounting and Accounting & Finance from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. In addition, she is a CPA, licensed through Montana.
