Jenny is an associate in Taft’s Real Estate and Hospitality practice groups. She focuses her practice on matters involving acquisition, disposition, and financing/refinancing of commercial real estate. She is also experienced in mezzanine financing and securitization of loans. She represents owners, operators, investors, lenders, and universities in various transactions involving hospitality, multifamily, build-for-rent, mixed-use, and commercial and retail projects.

Jenny is skilled in drafting and reviewing a variety of transactional documents, including purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, easement agreements, lease agreements and legal opinions. She is also skilled in regulatory research on many topics, including zoning restrictions and state licensing requirements.

Additionally, Jenny also worked with clients on matters related to SBA-guaranteed loans and small business lending, and general litigation matters with an emphasis on discrimination and other employment-related issues within institutions of higher education. She managed other litigation and risk management disputes related to commercial contracts, the Fair Housing Act, and constitutional challenges.

• Represented a client in its disposition of a beach resort in Florida, which is one of the biggest U.S. hotel sales during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
• Represented a client in its negotiation of a set of hospitality management agreements for a portfolio with projects throughout the U.S.
• Represented a client in its refinancing of a two-pack of hotels in Savannah, Georgia and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
• Represented a client in its sale of a shopping center and surrounding parcels located in Kansas City, Missouri.
