Summary
Ashton is based in Taft’s Atlanta office and focuses her practice on counseling and representing employers with respect to various employment matters, including hiring and separation concerns, restrictive covenants, internal investigations, policy and procedure reviews, and compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. She also negotiates and drafts employment-related contracts, including employment agreements, restrictive covenants agreements, and separation agreements.
In addition, Ashton helps corporate clients by providing labor and employment expertise related to business openings and closings, mergers and acquisitions (buy- and sell-side), and other business transactions.
Ashton’s practice also includes representing employers in lawsuits and administrative proceedings under Title VII, Section 1981, the FLSA, and other federal and state anti-discrimination and employment laws. She has experience in complex litigation and has assisted employers with investigations by government agencies, such as the EEOC and SEC.
While in law school at Georgia State University College of Law, Ashton served as a judicial clerk to the Hon. Gail S. Tusan, Superior Court Fulton County.
