Woods and Mullins Speak at SW Ohio Contractor's Convention

Taft Dayton partners Lowell Woods, Jr. and Jeffrey Mullins shared labor and employment insights at the recent SW Ohio Contractor’s Convention. Woods presented, “Best Practices to Identify, and Avoid or Mitigate One-Sided Contract Clauses.” The discussion covered a number of topics including pay if paid provisions, no damage for delay, front end lien waivers and recommended strategies and best practices. Mullins presented, “Protect Your Workforce,” where he presented the topics of shared employee/anti-poaching, temporary agencies, custom hiring restrictions and union harassment tactics. 

Woods is a partner in Taft’s Litigation group and concentrates his practice in the area of commercial litigation with an emphasis on construction disputes. Woods routinely engages in contract drafting and due diligence and provides guidance and training to construction clients on a wide range of issues.

Mullins is a partner in Taft’s Employment and Labor Relations group where he practices in the areas of health care, construction and labor and employment law. He has substantial experience in counseling, advising and defending organizations on issues concerning the NLRA (including union organizing campaigns, collective bargaining and unfair labor practice charges); the ADA and other anti-discrimination laws, sexual harassment, OSHA and workplace violence and bullying.
