Taft Indianapolis Welcomes Two Real Estate Attorneys
Taft, one of the fastest-growing law firms in the country, welcomes Carolina Rashidfarokhi and Chelsea Spickelmier to its Real Estate Group in the firm’s Indianapolis office.
Rashidfarokhi advises clients on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions nationwide and internationally. Her practice includes drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, construction contracts, operating agreements, and partnership agreements; conducting transactional due diligence; reviewing title and survey materials; and delivering real estate legal opinions.
Rashidfarokhi owned her own law firm where she advised clients on a wide range of real estate issues. She also owns a real estate development company which developed a residential neighborhood in Fishers, Indiana. She previously practiced at a large international law firm, advising clients on a range of sophisticated real estate matters. Earlier in her career, she served as in-house counsel to a real estate developer, advising on corporate matters, real estate development, and commercial real estate transactions. Rashidfarokhi is fluent in Spanish and licensed to practice law in Bolivia.
Spickelmier represents real estate investors, owners, operators, developers, and lenders in commercial real estate transactions. She focuses on the acquisition, development, construction, financing, and disposition of commercial properties across a range of asset classes, including multifamily, mixed-use, retail, industrial, office, restaurant, and health care.
Spickelmier was an associate with Taft from 2019-2022. Before returning to the firm, she served as associate general counsel for a multifamily private-equity owner-operator and as in-house counsel for a U.S.-headquartered real estate company listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
“Taft’s collaborative culture and strong national real estate platform made this an exciting opportunity for me,” said Rashidfarokhi. “I’m drawn to the firm’s practical, business-minded approach to client service. I look forward to working with colleagues across the firm and bringing that perspective to my clients.”
“I’m thrilled to rejoin a real estate team that has such tremendous depth and momentum,” said Spickelmier. “Taft’s continued growth and commitment to providing sophisticated counsel create an exciting platform to grow my practice and help clients achieve their business and investment goals.”
