Taft Attorney Bilott's Work Highlighted in New Book
A new book edited by William Buzbee of the Emory University School of Law, entitled Preemption Choice: The Theory, Law, and Reality of Federalism’s Core Question, features a chapter highlighting the work of Robert A. Bilott, a partner in the Litigation Practice at Taft’s Cincinnati office. Mr Bilott’s work representing thousands of residents in West Virginia and Ohio whose drinking water was contaminated by an essentially unregulated chemical, PFOA, is highlighted as an example of how litigation can be used to spur significant regulatory and policy changes.
