Taft and Lawyers Leading Ohio’s PFAS Lawsuit Against DuPont Secure $110 Million Settlement
On Nov. 29, it was announced that a $110 million settlement will be paid to the state of Ohio by DuPont, the Chemours Co., and Corteva Inc. to resolve Ohio’s claims related to the release of PFAS, claims relating to the manufacture and sale of PFAS-containing products, and claims related to firefighting foam containing PFAS.
Taft is part of the Ohio legal team that represents the state in its lawsuit against DuPont and the two spin-off firms. Taft partner Rob Bilott stated “We are honored to have been able to work with the Ohio Attorney General’s office and the other members of the outside counsel team to represent the state in this groundbreaking case for all Ohioans.”
