Taft Adds Sports and Entertainment Attorney Marcus Sandifer
Taft, one of the nation’s fastest-growing law firms, announced today that attorney Marcus Sandifer will join the firm’s Atlanta office following the completion of its merger with Morris, Manning & Martin LLP on December 31, 2025.
Sandifer brings extensive experience advising clients in highly regulated industries, including food and beverage, marketing, hospitality, sports, media, and entertainment. He joins Taft from Krevolin Horst in Atlanta and previously served as Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at Celsius Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: CELH)—a global beverage company.
“Marcus is a tremendous addition to our firm as we expand our presence in Atlanta,” said Ralph Caruso, Chairperson of Taft’s national Corporate practice group. “His strong reputation, client relationships, and deep understanding of the sports and entertainment sectors will be tremendous assets to our clients operating in complex, fast-paced markets.”
At Taft, Sandifer will focus on providing strategic counsel and dispute resolution services, along with day-to-day legal support in corporate governance, operations, and financing transactions. His experience includes drafting, negotiating, and managing commercial agreements spanning vendor services, merchandising, sponsorship, NIL, IP licensing, and employment matters across industries such as telecommunications, gaming, and sports entertainment.
During his tenure at Celsius, Sandifer led major corporate initiatives, managed high-stakes litigation and intellectual property matters, and negotiated brand partnerships in the NFL, NBA, MLS, NHL, and with Formula 1 racing teams, NIL athletes, and entertainment figures. He also oversaw SEC civil investigations and corporate governance issues, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex business and legal challenges.
“I am grateful for my time at Celsius and the opportunity to serve as the company’s first general counsel,” said Sandifer. “That experience shaped my approach to advising high-growth companies operating at the intersection of business, law, and brand strategy.”
Earlier in his career, Sandifer practiced at DLA Piper and Alston & Bird. Before entering the legal profession, he spent a decade in human resources, labor and employment relations, and talent management—experience that continues to inform his practice and client perspective.
Today, Taft continues to be among the fastest-growing law firms in the country and is home to more than 1,100 lawyers and growing. On Dec. 31, 2025, Taft will complete its merger with Morris, Manning & Martin, a highly regarded firm with offices in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. Following this merger, Taft will have more than 1,200 lawyers in 25 offices across the country with projected combined revenues in excess of $1 billion.
