Taft acted as legal counsel to Vitality in its acquisition of Icario, a digital-first health action company that helps health payers motivate members to take meaningful steps toward better health outcomes.

The acquisition brings together Vitality’s behavioral-change and member-engagement platform with Icario’s expertise in identifying and activating hard-to-reach populations. The combined organization will serve 19 million members and 30% of U.S. health plans, including eight of the country’s ten largest health insurers.
