Taft represented the City of Kokomo in a successful appeal of a jury verdict of property owner damages in an eminent domain case. On Dec. 18, the Indiana Court of Appeals reversed and remanded the verdict stating the jury decision was excessive and not supported by Indiana law. The decision reduced the city’s exposure by over $250,000.
