Ganow Receives University of Dayton Young Alumni Award of Excellence

The University of Dayton School of Law (UDSL) has recognized Dayton attorney T. Scot Ganow as the 2019 recipient of the prestigious Richard P. Perna Young Alumni Award of Excellence. The award recognizes a UDSL graduate who has made a significant leadership, career and/or service contribution to his or her community, the School of Law or the legal profession within 10 years of graduation. 

Ganow was singled out for his role as a UDSL adjunct professor where he prepares students not only on the substantive law but also prepares them for the modern legal workforce. Ganow commits a significant amount of time educating people on the value of privacy and protecting one’s information in the age of the Internet. Additionally, Ganow’s commitment to community service was noted as he has served as a board member, volunteer and outside counsel for an after-school program for at-risk youth for more than a decade. 

Ganow is co-chair of the firm’s Privacy and Data Security Practice. As a former chief privacy officer and leveraging more than 10 years of management and compliance experience in Fortune 500 companies, Ganow brings a diverse business background to his privacy and data security practice. Ganow has represented clients in a variety of sectors, and in all areas of the data life cycle.
