Deveau, Lewis and Gardner to Present at 2018 Indiana Environmental Conference

Taft attorneys Frank Deveau, Kimberly Lewis and Will Gardner will present at the 2018 Indiana Environmental Conference Oct. 22-23. The conference is presented by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). 

Deveau and Lewis will co-present “CERCLA Liability Protection: The Bona Fide Prospective Purchaser (BFPP) Defense as Implemented by IDEM/IFA Comfort Letters and ERCs.” Gardner will co-present “Papers, Please: Responding to Agency Information Requests in the Digital Age” with Michael Golando from Cargill Texturizing Solutions and Erik White from UEG Consulting, Inc.

Deveau is chair of Taft’s Environmental practice group and represents clients in relation to all aspects of environmental law. He has assisted clients in administrative proceedings, obtaining and maintaining compliance with solid and hazardous waste permits, air permits, water discharge permits, CAFO and CFO permits. He also advises and defends clients in relation to environmental litigation involving private parties, and federal and state government. 

Lewis is an associate in Taft’s Environmental practice group and assists clients on a wide range of legal issues involving environmental and litigation matters. She routinely advises clients on environmental compliance and permitting, complex environmental litigation and permit appeals, managing environmental remediation projects and advising clients on environmental due diligence.

Gardner is an associate in Taft’s Environmental group. His practice focuses on environmental compliance and permitting, complex environmental litigation and permit appeals, managing environmental remediation projects and advising clients on environmental due diligence.
