Connelly and Cuckler Provide Legal Support for $10 Million Road Extension in Southern Delaware
A $10 million extension of Home Road in southern Delaware County that will offer an east-west connector for industrial traffic broke ground on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. The extension will also provide access for Slate Ridge, a 300-acre mixed-use development. The extension was part of a collaborative public-private partnership that is critical to ensure ODOT approval of a new Big Walnut interchange on 71.

Connelly is a member of Taft’s Public Finance and Real Estate groups. He focuses his practice on all areas of state, local and federal economic development incentives and all aspects of public finance, including the issuance of bonds and conduit financing by public bodies. He has counseled developers, private businesses and governmental entities seeking to utilize public financing sources in connection with development and revitalization.
Cuckler is the partner-in-charge of Taft’s Delaware office. He brings two decades of combined legal, government, military and political experience to the comprehensive array of services he provides to corporate, public and non-public clients at the state and local levels. He has served as city councilman and vice mayor of the city of Delaware. He currently serves as the Republican Party’s Finance Chair, a member of the Delaware County Board of Elections, and Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve.
