Abrams and Colom to Present at Indiana Commercial Real Estate Conference

Taft partners Jeff Abrams and Kiamesha Colom will present at the Indiana Commercial Real Estate Conference on April 30. Abrams will be a panelist in the session “Best Practices in Commercial Real Estate: Industry Experts Share Their Secrets” and Colom will participate in a session as part of a three-part program titled “Economic Update & Best Practices and Legal Considerations in Financing.”

Abrams is a partner in Taft’s Real Estate group and represents brokers, banks, developers, landlords, tenants, builders, contractors, and all types of business owners with purchase agreements, loan documents, leases, and other real estate documents. He served as counsel to ICBR for over 10 years and has advised brokers on many topics including listing agreements, representation agreements, and the broker lien law. Abrams is a frequent speaker and author on real estate topics.

Colom is a partner in Taft’s Real Estate group and chair of Taft’s COVID-19 SBA Task Force. She focuses her practice in the areas of real estate transactions, real estate lending and commercial finance transactions, and related business transactions. Colom has extensive experience closing SBA and conventional commercial loans. She represents banks, developers, tenants, landlords, and third-party lenders. Colom has presented to and trained brokers, bankers, and attorneys in areas related to real estate and commercial lending. Her extensive base of knowledge covers an array of commercial loan types, including government guaranteed lending, term loans, real estate transactions, and construction loans.
