Summary
Yohana is an attorney in Taft's Commercial Litigation practice group where she represents clients in a range of complex matters including commercial and contract disputes, construction defects, and intellectual property litigation involving both patents and trade secrets.
Yohana was a summer associate at the firm, where she gained a deeper understanding of the practice of law. During her first summer at the firm, Yohana also clerked for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, which provided her with an insider view of the federal court system.
Yohana earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and her bachelor's degree in political science from Kalamazoo College. During law school, Yohana was an active member of the Black Law Students Association (BLSA), which gave her the incredible opportunity to volunteer with students at Martin Luther King, Jr. Senior High School in Detroit. She hopes the students valued those experiences as much as she did and looks forward to welcoming them into the legal community one day.
