Summary

Valerie is a paralegal in the litigation and real estate practices.

She partners with attorneys primarily in the areas of civil litigation, construction, real estate, bankruptcy, multiemployer benefits and corporate law. She assists throughout the litigation process, including drafting pleadings, preparing for depositions and hearings, trial and settlement. She also assists attorneys in managing all phases of discovery and e-discovery, including preservation, collection, review and production of documents. She has attended trials and has managed the electronic exhibits during trial.

Valerie assists attorneys representing multiemployer benefit funds as follows:

QDROs: Assists attorneys with initial review, final review and qualification of QDROs and in ensuring that all statutory deadlines are met

Collections: Assists attorneys during litigation, discovery, post-judgment collection, including garnishments, and client communication

Subrogation and Intervention Matters: Assists attorneys by preparing initial drafts of intervention documents in ensuring that updated subrogation and intervention interests are timely provided and in preparing communications to clients

Valerie graduated from Minnesota School of Business where she received her associate of science in paralegal studies. She is a member of the Minnesota Paralegal Association and Women in E-Discovery.
