Summary

As a vice president of public affairs, Tim advises clients on a wide range of policy and government relations matters. With a deep understanding of legislative and regulatory advocacy, he has a strong track record of shaping policy and guiding key initiatives through the legislative process to become law. Tim works closely with policymakers and industry leaders to craft innovative strategies that drive meaningful results for his clients.

His experience spans multiple industries, including electric and autonomous vehicles, unmanned aerial systems, artificial intelligence, health care, defense procurement, education, and state and federal appropriations. He provides strategic counsel to government and corporate affairs executives, helping them navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Before joining Taft, Tim served as Senior Vice President of the Chamber Technology Engagement Center (C_TEC) at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, D.C. There, he led efforts to advance technology policies that drive economic growth, innovation, and job creation. He spearheaded TecNation, a ninestate national tour engaging members of Congress, business leaders, and community stakeholders to address key technology issues, including closing the digital skills gap, expanding digital economy opportunities for rural communities, and navigating the challenges of artificial intelligence.

From 2001 to 2016, Tim was Vice President of Global Government Affairs for NCR Corporation and Teradata Corporation, overseeing policy efforts in Brussels and Washington, D.C. His focus included data analytics, data privacy, financial services, and retail.

Earlier in his career, Tim served as Chief of Staff to U.S. Congresswoman Deborah Pryce (R-OH), then-Chairman of the House Republican Conference, and held various legislative roles in Congress. His extensive experience in both government and the private sector positions him as a trusted advisor in policy and regulatory affairs. In 2022, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine inducted Tim into The Executive Order of the Ohio Commodores which is Ohio’s highest recognition for contributions to economic development and leadership and includes a distinguished group of professionals dedicated to advancing growth and opportunity in the state.
