Summary
Tianjin (Fiona) is an associate in Taft’s Immigration practice group. Fiona focuses her practice on employment-based immigration matters. She has represented multinational organizations, entrepreneurs, and professionals in navigating a broad range of nonimmigrant and immigrant matters. Her experience includes L-1A and L-1B visas for intracompany transferees, the Blanket L Petition program, O-1A and O-1B visas for individuals of extraordinary ability, TN visas for USMCA professionals, as well as EB-1A, EB-1B, EB-1C, and National Interest Waiver pathways to permanent residence.
In addition, Fiona counsels employers on I-9 compliance, audit preparedness, and broader immigration compliance strategies, helping organizations mitigate risk and maintain regulatory compliance.
Prior to joining Taft, Fiona managed a wide range of employment-based immigration matters at a global immigration law firm. She earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law and her bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from New York University Shanghai. During law school, she served as a legal intern with the University of Miami Immigration Clinic, where she assisted individual clients in removal proceedings. Fiona is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese.
