
Summary
Sydney is an associate in Taft’s Environmental group in the Chicago office. She has experience working on matters related to PFAS, CERCLA, and the Clean Water Act. Prior to joining the firm, Sydney was a litigation attorney involved in sophisticated trials and single- and multi-plaintiff claims.
While in law school, Sydney worked as an extern for the Hon. Damon Leichty, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, assisting with a broad variety of issues involving environmental law, wetlands protection, 14th amendment claims, vaccine mandates, and habeas petitions. Sydney also externed for the Hon. Cristal Brisco, St. Joseph County Superior Court and was a CERCLA intern for the Environmental Protection Agency.
Sydney earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame and bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Sustainability Studies and English from Indiana University. In addition to her legal externships, Sydney was also a Moot Coot Oralist and President of the Environmental Law Society.
