Summary
Shannon is an experienced paralegal in Taft’s Naples office, where she supports the Private Client group with a focus on trust and estate administrations. With over 14 years of legal experience, she brings deep expertise in managing formal, summary, and ancillary estate administration proceedings, trust administrations, e-filing, preparation of accountings, distribution management, docket tracking, and maintaining client files.
In addition to estate and trust work, Shannon is actively involved in estate planning for high-net-worth individuals. She assists with drafting and reviewing estate planning documents, preparing gift tax returns, funding trusts, and providing exceptional client service and support throughout the process.
Shannon also has experience in guardianship matters. Her work in this area includes drafting and e-filing pleadings for guardian appointments, as well as managing ongoing administration through the preparation of annual guardianship reports and accountings.
Shannon holds an associate’s degree in paralegal studies from Edison State College (now Florida SouthWestern State College) and a bachelor’s degree in legal studies from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is a Certified Paralegal through NALA and is a Florida Registered Paralegal.
