Summary

Rick Pilch has over thirty years of experience counseling private and public companies in real estate transactions involving the leasing, acquisition, disposition, and development of properties across a wide range of asset classes.

Rick represents clients nationwide in complex real estate transactions, with an emphasis on the representation of institutional landlords and public and private companies in the leasing of industrial warehouse, distribution and manufacturing facilities.  He also has significant experience advising clients on transactions involving mineral resource properties, medical facilities, office buildings and hotels.

Prior to attending law school, Rick served on active duty as a captain in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, where he was a helicopter pilot.

  • Represented an international real estate services company in the lease of a 1.9 million sq. ft. distribution center and assisting in the development of a solar lease form for portfolio-wide use.
  • Negotiated build-to-suit leases for 868,000 s.f. and 548,000 s.f. distribution facilities on behalf of a national building products company.
  • Represented a global real estate firm in developing industrial leasing forms and related documents for nationwide use.
  • Negotiated multiple leases of portside distribution facilities for the U.S. affiliate of a European logistics company.
  • Assisted a privately held company in negotiating office leases and subleases for locations throughout the U.S.
  • Represented a publicly traded international mining corporation in the conveyance of 4,000 acres of resource and non-resource real property as part of the company’s sale of a business unit.
  • Lead real estate counsel for a behavioral health services company in its acquisition and development of inpatient and outpatient facilities throughout the eastern United States.
  • Primary real estate counsel to one of the world’s largest flooring companies, including industrial and office leasing and sales and acquisitions of manufacturing and warehouse facilities throughout the country.
