Rebecca Godsil

As conflicts counsel at Taft, Becca leads Taft’s conflicts group in identifying and resolving ethical and business conflicts for the firm’s new clients and matters. She also assists in conflict clearance and client and matter intake for lateral attorneys.

Becca researches and counsels the firm’s lawyers on risk management issues and matters governed by the professional rules of responsibility. She also oversees the management of the firm’s conflicts database and other key client-facing needs for the firm. 

Prior to joining Taft, Becca gained more than 15 years of experience working on conflict issues at other law firms. She earned her J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and her bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University.
