Summary

Philip litigates complex commercial disputes on behalf of businesses facing high-stakes challenges, from breach of contract and fiduciary duty claims to restrictive covenant disputes and high-exposure tort actions.

Philip brings deep experience at every stage of litigation in both federal and state courts. He has served as lead counsel at trial, conducts and defends depositions, argues motions, and handles appeals. His appellate experience includes work in Georgia appellate courts and the Eleventh Circuit, where he has served as appellate counsel in several high-profile matters. Philip’s litigation practice spans the full spectrum — from bet-the-company disputes to cases presenting complex or novel legal questions.

Prior to joining Taft, Philip practiced at large international law firms in Atlanta and New York, where he concentrated on complex commercial litigation and banking litigation.

Philip is actively involved in the Atlanta Bar Association’s Litigation Section, where he serves as a board member. Philip also serves on the board of CIS of Atlanta, a charitable organization.

During law school, Philip interned for the Honorable Renee Marie Bumb of the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey.
