Paul is an attorney in Taft’s Detroit office and focuses his practice on estate planning and administration. He has a strong background in business law and is experienced in advising on matters related to business and corporate law, business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and tax law.

Before coming to Taft, Paul was a senior associate attorney with a regional Michigan firm where he provided trust and estate services for both nontaxable and taxable estates, including drafting revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, gift tax planning, and business succession planning. He has experience advising trust and estate clients on a variety of estate planning objectives, such as wills and trusts, family succession plans, gift planning, and tax efficient strategies involving wealth and property transfers.

Paul earned his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School and holds a master’s degree in financial accounting from Wayne State University as part of their dual J.D./M.B.A. program. As a law student, Paul served as an Executive Editor for the Wayne Law Journal of Business and was active in the Transactional Law Competition. Prior to law school, Paul graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and worked in portfolio management for several years with a local bank.
