Summary

Nicolette advises clients on a variety of tax matters arising during key events in the life cycle of a business, including formation, operational issues, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, and tax-efficient exit strategies.

A significant component of Nicolette’s practice includes representing clients with tax controversy matters before the Internal Revenue Service and assisting clients in seeking administrative relief through the private ruling process. Nicolette’s practice also includes advising clients on matters relating to state and local tax law and counseling nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations.

Nicolette was a summer clerk at Taft during law school. Nicolette earned her LL.M. in taxation from Northwestern University and earned her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati. While at Northwestern, she served on the editorial board of The Tax Lawyer, an ABA-published journal. Nicolette holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Purdue University.

Prior to joining Taft, Nicolette worked in corporate finance at Procter & Gamble.
