Monica K. Gould

As Director of Recruiting and Associate Advancement for Taft’s Minneapolis office, Monica focuses her work on attorney recruiting and supporting associate-development strategies, goals, and objectives across the firm.

Prior to joining Taft, Monica was the Director of Career and Professional Development for the University of St. Thomas School of Law where she coordinated effective programming that focused on professional development, well-being initiatives, and community engagement for students, alumni, community members, and key stakeholders.

Monica worked for nine years as a litigation attorney where she represented a diverse group of clients, counseled stakeholders on risk and high-level decision-making, handled arbitrations and mediations, negotiated settlements in complex litigation cases, and interviewed and hired new associates. Throughout her career, she traveled extensively and represented clients in numerous jurisdictions both in state and federal court.

Monica earned her J.D., cum laude, from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, in marketing from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. While in law school, Monica served as a Senior Editor for the University of St. Thomas Law Journal.
