Before joining Taft, Megan founded her own law firm and worked with Denver-area firms on corporate formation, governance, and intellectual property. Megan has a deep commitment to service. She began her military career in the U.S. Army as an Arabic cryptologic linguist, where she graduated at the top of her class at the Defense Language Institute. Following active duty, after a break in service, she joined the Colorado Army National Guard, where she continues to serve as a judge advocate. In this capacity, Megan advises commanders in the areas of military justice, national security law, administrative law, ethics, and fiscal law, and provides legal assistance to soldiers. She deployed to Jordan in 2023 and 2024 in support of Operation Spartan Shied, where she advised on rules of engagement and the Law of Armed Conflict and contributed to diplomatic efforts aimed at strengthening international partnerships.
